Lecturer 1, Elele Campus

Biography

Okwor is the third born of Mr Wilfred Okwor and Mrs Theresa Okwor from Eha-Alumona in Nsukka Local Government area of Enugu State. I did my primary Education at CPS Eha-Azuabor and my secondary at CSS at Eha-Niagu, 1979-184, the only student that credited mathematics and Physics in school in 1984. In 1985 I went to COE Eha-Amufu and graduated as the best student in the department of Physics winning two awards.

Simulation of an Intracellular Differential Equation Model of the Dynamics of Malaria with Immune Control and Treatment

The simulation result shows that with effective treatment, the density of uninfected hepatocytes and erythrocytes, treated hepatocytes and erythrocytes and recovered hepatocytes and erythrocytes increases. This simply means that the number of merozoites in the liver and sporozoites in the blood will be reduced and this implies clearance of malaria

ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE BAND GAP AND OPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF COPPER SULPHIDE THIN FILM: EXPERIMENT AND COMPUTATION

The band gap as deduced from the experiment in both cases
ranged between1.25eV to 3.0eV as estimated from the
intercept of the linear portion of the plot of  2
 h against
photon energy, h on the photon energy axis. Using the
absorption obtained from the computed value which is
within 400nm to 450nm, the computed band gap ranged
from 2.50eV to 3.0eV.Thus from these observed
characteristics as depicted by the thin film especially as
regards to its transmittance behavior, it can also be used as
solar control characteristics as it can be used to avoid glare
as it has low reflectance <10% in the visible region and relatively high reflectance >15% within near infrared
region. The observed trend in range of the band gap was
base on the variation of the with the thickness of the thin
film with other stoichiometrical factors

Simulation of a Mathematical Model of Malaria Transmission Dynamics in the Presence of Mosquito Net, Fumigation And Treatment

Our result showed that increasing the proportion of humans who use insecticide treated bed net and fumigate their surroundings will go a long way in reducing human – mosquito contact rate, thereby reducing the density of the exposed (infected) human in the population. Similarly, effective treatment of infectious human helps to boost their immunity as this will prevent the occurrence of malaria infection over time. Therefore, combined control is more effective than when there is a single control method or when there no control.

Analytical Study of Electromagnetic Wave Behaviour in Fcc Latice Periodic Material with Constant Dielectric: Bloch Theorem of Maxwell’s Equation

From this work, we have been able to obtain from Maxwell
equation a relation that depicts a link between electromagnetic
wave with unconserved momentum of the free electron in
the periodic lattice as in equation (17) in conjunction with the
explicit deduction of the expression for scalar wave equation for
the free electron model. In the analysis as regards the propagated
wave profile depicted unique characteristic in accordance with
the spectral wavelength ranging from uv, visible and near-infrared
within the considered first Brillouin zone(BZ)[2,214,15]. As
a matter of fact, it was observed in this work, there was no true
band gap extending throughout the BZ for the studied structure
as the scalar wave equation was used instead of vector wave
equation.
