Information as Power

Mass Communication is the art of gathering, processing, and disseminating information for the betterment of society. We operate on the fundamental belief that information is power, a propeller for both vertical and horizontal societal development and an essential catalyst for a sustainable democracy.

Our discipline seeks to train a new generation of media professionals who can act as the trustees of public trust, remaining socially responsible, accurate, and objective while protecting the people's right to know as the "Fourth Estate of the Realm."

Programme Aims

Strategic Objectives

Train media professionals to think quickly, research creatively, and communicate concisely to mass audiences.

Instill a culture of discipline, respecting strict deadlines and performing with excellence under constant pressure.

Produce ethical communicators who act as trustees of public trust, ensuring reportage is accurate, fair, and objective.

Equip graduates with the entrepreneurial skills to establish their own media houses, PR agencies, or broadcasting stations.

Develop the critical ability to distinguish 'soft news' from 'hard news' and responsible journalism from falsehood.

Empower students to master the technical requirements of daily newscasts, corporate speechwriting, and strategic advertising.
