Philosophy
Department
Cultivating critical reflection, rigorous analysis, and moral strength to navigate the complexities of personal and social affairs.
A Journey of Intellectual Growth
Founded in 2002 with just two students, the Department of Philosophy has evolved into a cornerstone of intellectual rigor at Madonna University. Through successive full accreditations by the NUC in 2007 and 2012, the department has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, producing a diverse alumni network of priests, civil servants, politicians, and esteemed university lecturers.
Building on this success, the department expanded its horizon in the 2016/2017 session to offer Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees. Boasting one of the best-equipped departmental libraries in the university, it continues to serve as a hub for interdisciplinary research and inspirational leadership.
