The Guidance and Counseling Unit is a vital support service in the University dedicated to the emotional, psychological, academic and social well-being of students. The Unit serves as a cornerstone for student welfare, providing a confidential space where students can seek help for personal challenges, career uncertainties, academic pressures and social difficulties.

Core functions and activities of the Unit
include personal and emotional counseling, academic counseling, career guidance and psychosocial support services. The Unit also conducts orientation programs for new students and organizes workshops on self awareness, communication skills, and conflict resolution and time management. Furthermore, this Unit engages in referral services, collaborating with medical professionals, academic departments and other external agencies for specialized interventions when necessary. Ultimately, the unit is involved in crisis intervention and conflict mediation, responding to emergencies and helps mediate conflicts among students to restore peace and harmony within the university community.
