The Department of Marketing, is located within the Madonna University, Okija Campus and offers a course leading to the award of Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) Degree in Marketing which challenges students and exposes them to all contemporary issues.
The degree of Marketing focuses on learning outcome that imbibes professional relevance and practical application due to its interdisplinary structure. A diverse range of courses are covered by the study of marketing which is one of the departments in the Faculty of Management Sciences comprising other disciplines which include; Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, and Public Administration.
Marketing Department offers a four year degree programme which goes a long way to prepare the students for the award of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. The course work is designed to provide regular interactive sessions, otherwise called contact hours for the students and is facilitated by seasoned lectures drawn from various fields of Academic. This in turn exposes the students to a wider scope of readership in conformity with the dynamics of global economic, social and technological professional needs. The second part is the project work which is aimed at exposing the students to the field of research. This enables them to develop the spirit of independence, originality and inquisitiveness.
The above working together will sharpen the individuals to face challenges of life.
Marketing is aimed at developing individual students and providing them with the tools necessary to enable them occupy managerial positions in both public and private sectors and correct the impression that marketing is all about buying and selling.
Rather marketing starts from the product/service concept and does not end until the customer is satisfied.
Marketing as a discipline is to provide the potential marketing graduates through intensive teaching and interaction for a period of four years the necessary knowledge and skill which will enable them to be creative, independent, and rational in order to face the ever changing challenges of life.

The basic entry requirements into marketing Department are clearly spelt out by the NUC and further elaborated in the Madonna University General Academic, Regulation and Rules of Residence (MUGARR).

Applicants should not be less then (16) years of age by the time of admission.
Applicant must have sat for the university Matriculation Examination (UME) and obtained score acceptable by the faculty.
Obtained the senior secondary school certificate (SSCE) or the general certificate of Education(GCE) ordinary level or its equivalent certificate with credit level passes in five relevant subjects in not more than two sittings and must include mathematics, English, and Economics.
